LIBERATION OF KUWAIT MEDAL!

ALL GULF WAR VETS! Thanks to Kevin Treiber, the information on obtaining the NEW medal is available. Just check into his site and you'll find how you can get this medal and any you may have missed in the past!

Name: Mark Christianson
Interested in: I am a gulf war vet and while I was over there I heard a version of a Styx song "Show me the Way" that had pieces of narration from soldiers in the Gulf in it. Since I got back I have not heard it or been able to locate a copy of it. If anyone has any details please E-Mail me.

Interested in: I am looking to start a WING collection. I want to see if I can collect AIRBORNE WINGS from everywhere! I will put the collection up for all to keep and enjoy. So I guess what I need is some help from my foriegn friends of the AIRBORNE!

Name: Hans Halberstadt
Interested in: I'm working on a book about the role of women in the US armed forces since 1978. I'm looking for input from any airborne qualified men or women -- pro or con. I am particularly interested in finding out if (as I have been told) PT standards have been lowered to accomodate women both at Airborne School and in units with an airborne mission.

I'm the author of many books about US, Russian, and British armed forces, including "Airborne -- Assault From The Sky," "War Stories of the Green Berets," and "Desert Storm -- Ground War". I've worked under contract to the Army to develop recruiting materials for Airborne, Ranger, SF and other MOSs. There seem to be some real problems with SOME women doing SOME jobs, but as a civilian I don't get to see the problems or the successes very often. Anybody with an opinion and some experience is invited to add their "two cents" worth.

This new book will be a kind of "Lessons Learned" document and will deal with all five of the US armed forces.
