Hey Joel, LONG TIME... NO SEE! WOW, these past few weeks have been quite interesting. I have been collecting a few names and numbers but only made two calls the other day, one for you Bob and one for Darryl Johnson... have not heard if I got he right Darryl yet, guess that means not... anyway, I was always under the understanding that we were COHORT III, my "I GOT LIED TO BY A RECRUITER" cover page on my enlistment papers has that written on it... Anyway, no big hairy one, or green one for that matter, it still meant that we were trapped for the duration - sure couldn't have been a better bunch of troopers though. I will send you an email to catch up... nope, not too many drunken walks thru a drive thru, guess that was the only one, hmmmm, I remember getting a free meal from that one. Some pretty wild and somwhat foolish times. It sure has been kick ass talking to everyone. I can't wait to catch up!

Todd, been way too long Bro!! Damn man, been having a lot of memories flooding back in. Most of them good. What the hell was our PSGs name? I'm getting old and the memory is slipping on me here. Still remember Sgt Strange, Sgt Ennis, SSG Flores, can not remember the PSG or what was the other NCO there that rode around on his coat tails. Freaking A man!! Was beginning to doubt I'd ever hear from anyone else.

Hey Bob! Yeah, it has been too long, but I am thankful it came. Like you said, most of the memories are good, of course, there is always something that we wish could have been different, but then, pain builds character... if it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger... point is, lesson learned. SSG Monroe. He was a good leader, remember Metz? What an ass... that is the one that made me never consider re-enlisting... Remember 1SG Sumpter and the Claw? "Now, the first sarg aint be f&%$#g anyones wives..." How about those that went AWOL, Menz, Robinson, MacDonold?

SSG Munroe saved my 4th point from the wrath of Mahoney a couple times LOL!! Metz argggg!!!! He ended up as my CO when we went back to Bragg in HHC. Was a better CO than PL though. CPT D'Arbonne was a pushover for Big Mo. Yeah I remember 1sg Sumter and CPT Clawson. "Mugambo and the Claw!" Sucked when we lost those men as our leaders. I have to say that despite the bad ones I actualy had some damned good examples along the way also. Oh hell I forgot about those three!! Menz was from around me somewhere.

Guys -
I have addresses for Glenn Akers (Fayetteville) and Steve Thornton (Calif). Lester McClaney has been missing for some time now. I'll ask the other NCO's. As for "Tiger Paw", an E-5 who rides a Harley, I need more info. If he had a Harley in Italy I won't know him as none of our guys had one there. If he had one in the States...well that's half the unit. Will need more info.
Just as a side note - COHORT 1 is having our reunion this year at the 82nd Association convention in Reno in August. Might not be a bad idea for you, too, as all the ground work has been done. Plus, all your guys are eligible to join the association if you want AND it would be a great chance to hook up with all the Pnet guys all in one shot.
Food for thought.

Shamdog, this reunion is being arranged by some guys who have not found their way here yet. Sounds like they already have it pretty well set for time and location. "Tiger Paw", can not remember his name, but if it is who I am thinking of he ETSd in 86 and was working as a Bartender at Bennigans in Cross Creek Mall after that. Got me absolutely hammered one afternoon in there! Kept feeding me Long Island Ice Teas, think I paid for 2 and drank a lot more than that! Todd, check out the link below. A couple of pictures there. http://home.comcast.net/~rb325th/wsb/html/view.cgi-photos.html-.html

Man right there... Hey, two potential Harley riders that come to my mind are: David Webber and Keith Derita... seems to me that Webber was getting a Harley in early 1986 thru some outfit in Germany, faster to get an Ameican built Harley in Germany or something like that???

| This guy was in 3rd PLT and he was an NCO we picked up from COHORT 1 when they rotated out. Black hair Mustache Big Moe put him on CQ day on day off for two weeks one time because he was rebuilding his bike in his room and the whole barracks reaked of Gasoline.
