I'm not sure it was just him who had the atttitude problem.

I'll admit he got on my nerves fairly quickly and I tended to jump back, but in my view Martin is one of the most even tempered and logical members here. I didn't go back through all of the pages, but I think specifically the comments I saw and remember directed toward Martin are indicative of an attitude problem. Just my .02.

Never said he didn't, said he wasn't alone in the furthering of heated arguments reminiscent of 6th grade banter. [] My point is that even after being told he was a "leg pvssy" he actually achieved that which he set out to do. For that, I am proud of him.

To be honest, I've already forgotten what the whole brouhaha was about, except that I do remember that GG is probably the only one on Paratrooper.net to whom I've apologized (for some of my more intemperate comments.) In any case, it's water under the bridge and life is far too short to nurse grudges.

I do think we need to remember that this was happening at a time when it looked like the firebase was under heavy attack. Between the wannabes and the just plain disagreeable jerks, a lot of us were, shall we say, a bit sensitive.

I don't presume to speak for ROS here, but this is my take:
I think she just wanted to let us know that someone else passed Jump school, and that, since he had such a hard time here, it shows his determination all the more.
It really doesn't seem like ROS to want to "rub it in". And since everyone is proud of the boy, there really isn't anything to "run in".

If that's your take on my personality, we have apparently miscommunicated. See, if I wanted to throw it in someone's face I'd simply say "He achieved what you said he couldn't so kiss his narrow white ass". Something simple and to the point. [] It is however, as PC has stated, he has achieved, we should be proud. And we are so, lay off, buttheads. Dayum. Now, Springer and I are gonna have to fight over the ducksuit. I really didn't want it to come to this but you're goin down Jack.
