Rickdog, this is a very accurate statement to say the least...

I once had a soldier show up to PT formation with alchohol on his breath (heh... like none of of us have been guilty of that right[) and was informed by our brand new platoon sergeant at the time (a serious politico type...) that I "needed" to get paperwork started on the kid. Took a few minutes of pleading and logical argument to convince the PSG that the soldier was worth saving as he did his job good and never caused trouble. Finally, I got permission to take said hooah out on a "little" run... an hour or so later, the guy was quite sober and filled with regret (his stomach contents left a trail from the 327th's AO to the backside of the airfield LOL!) He went on to become an NCO himself and is still serving...

exactly! The inspection timings are every hour on the hour. You make that very clear.
Then you inspect the troop for 55 minutes.

The 1SG definetly handled the situation well and the end result may help the new PFC realize that you don't screw with NCOs. I had a run-in with a mouthy PFC during DSI who was talking insubordinately in-ranks in the platoon next to mine.

After listening to dirtbag badmouth the 1LT C.O. for about the 10th time in 5 minutes and realizing that the inept SFC Platoon Sergeant wasn't up to confronting the troop either because of fear of dealing with a racial issue or just to tired to give a damn, I turned my platoon over to my senior squad leader.

I then broke ranks getting right up into PFC's personal space and began to counsel him on his insubordinate and obnoxious behavior. Seeing as I was considered a crazy snake-eating SF tab wearing airborne infantry SFC who wasn't afraid to use my stripes convinced PFC to shut his pie-hole and leran some respect.

Course the fact that it was wartime and that he could do prison time, or that we still had a lot of weapons training to do and training accidents do happen seemed to get his frikken attention. Needless to say the young trooper was always the first to respectfully offer the greeting of the day whenever we met in the company area after that.

In fact he shaped up pretty well...wish his platoon sergeant had of been the one to square the troop away but he had his own deficiencies to deal with.

OKAY, NOW I AM P'D OFF!
The said female soldier got over. All she got was a Summarized Artile 15, 14/14. She didn't lose rank. I can't believe this. After she went into our 1SG's office and called the other 1SG a liar and denied it ever happened. I am really hating this unit and place right now. I would give anything for Bragg right now.

Now the origonal offense becomes rather a moot point and the attack on the integrity of another 1SG becomes much more important. Why would a disinterested 1SG bring up such a charge if in fact the incident did not occur?

If that was the case then the 1SG should be relieved for being a unprincipled liar, however since that is not the case the soldier needs to really be slammed for undermining authority and discipline. A questioning of the clerk on duty or a review of a store video would answer the question beyond a shadow of a doubt. If I were your 1SG I would not allow this to drop or this soldier to question my integrity in this way!

I know. But once again a female gets over. I have nothing against females in the army but our unit had a female 1SG and female Co and since our CO is still in charge she has a say. Sometimes females get over a little here.
