| CAMP MACKALL, N.C. — Fort Bragg paratroopers will jump into multiple drop zones, seize an airport and evacuate American citizens in a massive exercise meant to test the unit's capabilities. The 82nd Airborne Division's 2nd Brigade Combat Team is part of the U.S. military's Global Response Force. That team can be called upon on short notice to respond to emergencies. Thursday's exercise will include more than a thousand paratroopers and hundreds of role-players, who will play civilians and State Department personnel.
