I came across this site in search of info regarding to the 2/509th ABN/MECH, Lee Barracks 1968ish more specifically SPC Lawrence Ferry (my uncle) and anyone who served with him.  I am currently a AD SGM having served in  1 AD, 3 ACR, 10th SFG (A) to name a few of my units and before I hang up my jump boots I was hoping someone might of served with Larry and had some info they could share.

I don't have much info too offer other than he arrived in GE in 67 with the 509th as an 11H1P serving in Vietnam.  We hail from Pittsburgh PA.  Like many his story is a sad one, having commited suicide in 74 after an injury in Nam and poor treatment at the VA hospital. I would like to complete his story and honor his memory.  If anyone has any info please contact me.
