| Thanks to all for the warm welcome. In reply to GR's comment- I was a member of A Co, 27 ENG BN, 20 ENG BDE (C) (A) in the early 90's and served with them in Desert Shield and Storm as a combat engineer. I left active and joined the CAARNG as a member of B Co, 132 ENG BN (C) (Mech), 40 ID. Sometime around 1997 the 132nd cased their colors and the 578 ENG BN uncased their colors. Now I was a member of B Co, 578 ENG BN. I left military life in late 98 but it never left me. In early 2001 the itch got so bad that I had to scratch it. I joined the USAR as a member of HHC, 426 CA BN (FID) (UW). I served in HHC as a language team sergeant until the batallion was deployed to OIF. When we redeployed the batallion was redesignated as the 426 CA BN (A) (SO) and I was transferred to B Co as a CA Team Sergeant, which is what my current assignment is. Hope you all have a great Independence Day!!
