Pics from the DZ in Normandy.

They were taken by some of our Combat Camera guys.

Outstanding-I was fortunate enough to make the trip to La Fiere DZ in 98, 00, 02, and earned my French and Canadian wings there.  On my first jump there in 98 I remember looking around, after checking my canopy, and saying to myself "there is so much history in this airspace."  BTW that is not a canal, that is the Mederet River, which the Germans dammed up so in June 44 the whole dz was underwater.  Howard, the old 505th guy, landed in the cemetary at Ste Mere Eglise, which is about a block from the stop bar.  After the war he was a Boston police detective.  Now he lives there in Ste Mere, and the bar!  Hopefully you got some good pictures of Iron Mike.

It's okay to have fear.  It's what you do with your fear that makes you who you are and who you will be.  Airbornedad to airborneson
