SO I am going to Airborne school in a 2 months and I need glasses. I know I am suppose to wear the standard Army issue Glasses but I was wondering if Airborne School allows these:

I wore my BCGs, but there were a few wearing the Go-Fasters. The link won't open for me.

Attention to detail is the first trait of a good airborne soldier. Have you read the Basic Airborne Course web pages on the Fort Benning Web site. I think not.
https://www.benning.army.mil/airborne/airborne/index.htm
Go to Administrative Information and follow them to the letter:
But just because I am a nice guy:
Military issue eyeglasses 2 pair with retainer straps, as required.
(Due to fragility of civilian eyeglasses, it is suggested they not be worn during BAC training.)
Contact lenses are NOT authorized.
Heed the suggestion your Black Hats surely do.
Read the in processing instruction. Follow them to the letter. If not you might find yourself on a bus back to home station pretty damn quick.

| I got contact lenses in 1959, at my draft physical in 64' the eye exam guy said my visen was 20/400 and asked if I wanted to be 4f--I said " no way " and he passed me by.These were the days of large glass ones that I got because I could,nt see the football coming as a TE in night games . I adapted and overcame--never had a problem. did not lose any except for a boxing match one time at Ft. Campbell.I carried back up glasses but most did not know it . I had them on in the jungle for 3 weeks straight once( was afraid to take them off ) Always carry spares and back ups and the hell with the rules.I still wear them and have lost two in 50 years.

I wore Go Fasters while in Jump School. Then once I got to the unit I just left my contacts in.
