| Hey, 12 miles - those were the days! Did 1100 miles training in the mountains of Italy prior to the 100 mile march in Nijemegan, Holland with several of my Airborne Brothers from the 1/509th Airborne Battalion Combat Team in 1979. Press on brother, you will make it.

Hey, Al, remember the Pasubio march after the ARTEP in 1978? I think it was 112 ks through the Dolomites in about five days.

| Hey Barry, Yep I sure do! That KY38 bore a hole in my back. Remember SSG John Miller that worked in HDQuarters with me. I talked to him a few months ago. Retired CSM and lives in Colorado. Married Italian Girl that waitressed at Septembers. His son was in the 09 up in Alaska B co. as well. Been in touch lately with Dave Bowling and Mike Stout and Top - David Williams.

| [Shift into best imitation Obi One Kenobi voice]: "KY-38, now that is a speech security equipment I have not heard of in a very long time." Do you still have the shovel handle to key it with?

Very interesting CB--thanks--I remember driving to Oakland from Concord when a friend returned in 72'-he was a 82 nd. friend and very bitter about the 101 for reasons he would not talk about. hell , I guess everyone I knew that came back in 72' was bitter.

| Air Assualt....it's just a school. Airborne! It's a way of life! Am I wrong?
BTW, whats with putting ovals behind the air assualt wings while in the 101st?? Is there air assualt status? I didn't think so.
