OH it's a Sherpa! Okay does anyone know if it would be possible to do a Ramp Ceremony into one of these things? At least 4 soldiers carrying 7ft. of transfer case? Keep in mind you would have to spin the transfer case while inside the cargo hold of the bird. I've only seen them on the outside so I have no idea what they look like on the inside. I really need your opinions on this guys whatever is decided will be put into effect downrange so if it won't work (RESPECTFULLY) I really need to know. Thanks again y'all!

First I would have assumed that you would have told him that you prefer to transport human remains in a coffin.

Then after he got through busting your 4th point of contact.  You would have said.  It can be done, and done professionally.

That you need an aircraft for a few hours to work out the details of putting togethter a professional and respectful set of procedures you would be read to train up a team to do the job.

The pictures from FAS provide you the basic understanding that space is tight but it is a viable platform.  Although you probably won't do more than one or two at a time.

Dang the Dreaded RED X.

follow the link above for FAS and look at the bottom of the page.

Hey thanks alot guys! Coincidently I found those same links today at work. Yeah it is a "viable" platform but currently whenever possible ALL remains get a Ramp Ceremony. And I really don't think it would be any good for that. Possibly for transporting from areas with poor air support. I guess my first chance to tell a Sergeant Major that his idea is a bad one is coming up. Hey any volunteers? lol Once again thanks alot guys!
