I have an idea, instead of wasting the time and our Tax payers money on this stupid issue why not work on fixing our gas prices.  I dont need saving from devices like Playboy and the other mags, I need help filling my truck!

My 2 cents!

Muddy!!!

Now that's a platform I can get behind. ($60 to fill up a Taurus...)

I remember reading an article(it may have been in the Army Times) in the last year or two that DOD had lifted the restrictions on a number of the mags sold on post.  I don't think Playboy was restricted to begin with, but apparently there is some reg that allows them to ban the more explicit mags and Penthouse and one or two others had been taken off the ban.

I seem to remember going to lunch on Ft. Bragg at an EM club sometime in the early 80s and watching strippers while I ate.  Can't remember where it was exactly but it was over in the 82nds area.

I sure hope this gets shot down.  College kids can be porn on campus and had porn movies in the caffateria of McNutt quad when I was going to IU in Bloomington, IN in 76-78.

“Allowing sale of pornography on military bases has harmed military men and women by escalating the number of violent, sexual crimes, feeding a base addiction, eroding the family as the primary building block of society, and denigrating the moral standing of our troops both here and abroad,” Broun said.

I'd like to see the research that supports this seemingly alarmist generalization.

Wow, I wish Bragg was like that now. If I want that, I have to go all the way down Bragg Blvd. lol

The NCO clubs in Korea still had strippers in the early 90's...

Far as the ban on nudie mags goes, well... choir boys make shitty soldiers so it's obvious there are lots of folks in DC who haven't got a clue about reality.

What the FUCK?1?!?!?!??!  I can't have porn while I'm deployed is bad enough!!!!!!!!  Now they wanna have to make me go off post to buy the stuff when I'm home???

BTW, the mental breakdown I'm working on should be presented as evidence that 15 mnoth deployments are harmful to a troop's psyche.
