As an LNO (no, I didn't choose this job, my BDE CSM chose me) I can see everyone's frustration. The problem is, especially where I am, we don't control flights. That is the Air Force. All we do is process soldiers paperwork and linking people with flights. After seeing what exactly an LNO does, I know for myself that most of the negativity towards us is unfounded. Well, at least most of us. Some LNO's don't give a shit, they are just here to collect a paycheck.

I really do not enjoy this job, but I guess someone has to do it.

Damn.  I even helped him with his Jump Pay.

I actually do the LNO work for my little contingient of people here on FOB Slammo, mostly becuase I was the only NCO available. SO I really do feel your pain.
