| SITREP Spoke with Mark's father last night for a while. The phone number that I have is not for his mother, who is in Atlanta with Mark, but his dad's number who is at home because of serious health issues. Mark has had three surgeries so far to fix the damage. He is still on a vent and is in a drug induced coma. Since I am getting the information third hand from a lay person, who got it from a lay person who got it from a docter who dummed it down for them, that is all I can say with any reasonable certainty. According to his dad, Mark was skydiving and was in a flat spin while in freefall. He pulled @ 4500 SGL still in a flat spin. His chute did not propery deploy because the twisted lines brought on by the flat spin. I do know that Mark had been chewed out several weeks ago for pulling @ 3000 AGL. Apparently, you have to pull @ 4500 AGL at this DZ. When I last spoke to Mark, he did not mention anything about having problems with flat spins.
