I just completed my second week home.  I saw the orthopedic surgeons this week to review my healing and measure the difference in my leg extension.  They say there is about 1 cm of shortness on the left side, but it should recover.  I have been cleared to stay by myself and Monday morning my mom is returning to Michigan to prepare for my dad's cancer surgery.  I look forward to seeing my children again, they are in Savannah with their mom.  I still can not drive but maybe in two more weeks I'll be up for the test.  Physical and Occupational therapy test my body strength and recovery speed each time, but I am thankful to be on the road to full recovery.  We had a thank you to the Grady staff this past Thursday, a cake and they brought food as well.  It was good to meet all the people who started me on the road to recovery.  It is good to see the site active with troopers and thank you all for the prayers, well wishes and messages.

Here's to all of you, a mighty thanks!

I spoke with 82MP-RGR last night. He was a bit tired out since he decided to walk to church and back on Sunday morning!! About a klick each way! he said that he did it without a break, sounds pretty hardcore to me! Drive on Ranger, Drive on!!!

Mark, it's good to hear that your rehab is still going good.  I want to get a weekend to get over there after the 509th Reunion next week.
