The RJ family prayers for a speedy recovery are out. Sounds like a real bad accident.

Lord Heal our brother of these injuries, protect him, give his docs wisdom to understand how this all needs to go. You put him together once, we ask that you do it again
Amen
I'll be in Atlanta later this month, I'll try to see him if I can

"...my religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me." He added, after a pause, looking me full in the face: "That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave" General "Stonewall" Jackson

Being that he is separated from his wife. Maybe we need to see if we can get a number for his family and contact them as see if there is anything we can do to assist.
If his situation is as grave as it sounds, stopping by the hospital other than the padre will probably do no good. If he is in ICU they won't let anyone in or provide any information (except to family).
So IMO our best bet is to contact the family and offer any assistance that we can help with.
