Went by to see him on my way out of town yesterday. Like Mark says, he is still knocked out. They have him in a bed that periodically rotates from one side to the other at a thirty degee angle or better. On behalf of Pnet I left him a copy of the latest All American Chorus CD signed by the members of the chorus.
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
"History teaches that when you become indifferent and lose the will to fight someone who has the will to fight will take over." COLONEL BULL SIMONS

AbnCrazy, don't worry he's probably being fed through a stomach tube, like I was fed through when I was in a coma 18 years ago. Thanks for the updates to all have posted them.
I'm Surprised Panama's still sea level, after all the Push Ups I did down there.

Update received today from 82MP-RGR's co-worker. Good news for a change!!!
He was awake and responsive for an hour and a half on 4/16. Docs are waiting for PEEP level to drop from 10 to 7 and nutrition level to increase from 2.8 to 3.5. At that time they plan to do surgery to insert a trach and take him off the vent.
As of 4/17, his chest tubes have been removed and lungs sealed. He is awake and responsive again, making eye contact and showing recognition of family and friends. His mother is encouraging any and all to visit. She is looking into long-term rehabilitation facility to move him to after the trach surgery.
I believe ert's going to see him tomorrow (4/19) after school.
