Just got off the phone with 82MP-RGR's ex wife. Mark was skydiving on Saturday and had a very serious accident. He is in the ICU at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta Ga. According to her, he suffered massive internal injuries, broken femurs and a broken pelvis.

He was in surgery to repair the interanl damage on Saturday. He is supposed to go back into surgery to stabilize the pelvis today.

He is heavily sedated (drug induced coma probably) and had no reaction when she was talking to him.

It was his weekend to have the kids and they were watching when this happened. His son was reportedly taking pictures or video and filmed the whole thing.

The ex-wife drove to Atlanta and picked the kids up and brought them back to Savannah last night. His mother is supposed to be flying in from California.

If we have any troopers local to the area, lets help out any way we can. The rest of us need to keep Mark and his family in our prayers.

If you need further details, call me on the cell.

I hate to hear that.  Mark, if you hear anything that we can do let us know.  I'm not local but will do what I can.  Sounds like he will be in the hospital for a while.  I will try to get away to see him when I am in town for the Airborne Awards next month.

Prayers out for him and his family during this time.

I'm Surprised Panama's still sea level, after all the Push Ups I did down there.

Ert, if you speak with Mark or his family, please let them know that he's in our prayers for a quick recovery. If there is anything that can be done from this distance please let me know. I too will be in Atlanta for the awards and considering the sounds of this I'll make additional plans to visit him during his recovery.

Hippo prayer sent.

<HR>

The hippo is unpredictable and aggressive with old scars and fresh, deep wounds providing signs of daily fights that are accompanied by much bellowing, neighing and snorting.
