| This is kinda like old Jerry Rivers, embedded with a unit, actually drawing a fucking map in the sand to describe where they were at during the Iraq invasion. The embeddeds can be a blessing and a curse at the same time. During my times in the sandbox, I've encountered some of the most kind and accommodating people just among the media personnel in or around the units I've een dealing with. But like everything else, there's always that one, who fvcks things up for everyone.

In spite of all the hoopla, he was deployed anyway. He went. From what I gather it was like a TDY of 4 months and he was readying to rotate. Screw all the reporters who believe that a story is worth more than the lives of others.

So is it just me, or did that whole thing seem staged? How many times have you other bullet stoppers seen an LT blazing away on a Ma-deuce? I'm glad he deployed, but lets not make a spectical about it.

Of course it seems staged. It's great propaganda.
