JR, my feeling is that we need a Chapter down there to make sure the ceremonies are always covered. Hell, if they sign up before outprocessing the Columbus/Ft. Benning Chapter could rival the Fayetteville Chapter in numbers. Geez, graduating 500 a class, they could smoke the Fayetteville chapter over the summer and likely expand the association 3 fold in a couple of years.

But what is being discussed HERE is the 82nd Airborne Division ASSOCIATION. With the 82nd as its active hook the association is a veterans organization.

First, let me point you to the new personnel reporting forum and ask you to open a topic to introduce yourself. Second, check out the recruiting information forum as there is a lot of good information there. Third, if you have already signed the contract without the 82nd listed the only option you would have is to back out and start over. That is a move that is not likely to make your recruiter happy. As long as you have Basic Airborne in your contract then you have a pretty good chance of getting assigned to an Airborne unit, and the 82nd, being the largest Airborne unit in the Army, the chances of you going there are better than 50/50. Finally, thank you for your willingness to serve our Country.
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
