I was, "Soldier Honor Graduate" of class 39, 44th Company in 1977. I received my, "Iron Mike" and jump wings from Brig. General Honeycutt. I collided with another trooper in Italy while serving in the 509th Recon Platoon in 1978. Many of my military and personal items never made it back to the states. My "Iron Mike" was among the missing. Is there any way I can replace that missing trophy? I'd like to leave it to my grandson. Thanks for any help. Airborne!

Contact the Airborne School directly. We had a thread around around here with the particulars......

Search replacing "Jump School certificates", then use that info to contact the school with your info.

Just from reading your story I would think that perhaps if you contacted BAC at Benning you might have a chance at getting a replacement Iron Mike statue.  Maybe I'm wrong, but shoot it's a try right?

I'm Surprised Panama's still sea level, after all the Push Ups I did down there.

BTW, what was the outcome of your original post?  Did you find the info on the trooper you collided with?

Are there any particulars on the incident?

All the way, sir!!!

You can order a new Iron Mike from the Trophy House in Fayetteville if you can't obtain one from the 1-507th.  My 82nd Chapter gets one every year for a ROTC cadet at a local college who is designated as the Airborne Cadet of the Year.
