hello,

i was wondering if anyone out there knew my grandfather, knows of anyone who knew my grandfather, and/or might have more information on my grandfather Pfc Robert W. Miller

ASN 33110651

he was wounded while at anzio.  he participated in the first american combat jump 11.08.42 (operation torch).  following the many reorganizations, etc.  he was an original member of the 509th PIB, he served in F Co. 2 Bn 509th PIR, then C Co. 2 Bn 509th PIR, finally C Co. 509th PIB.

i have learned quite abit, and would like to find out even more.  found they even had record for my grandfathers plane and seat for his jump in operation torch (plane 3, seat 1).  i find that pretty cool!

some others who graduated from jump school with him are:

Sgt Dunlop, Cpl Vilney, Pvt TE Pemberton, Pfc JN Robertson (i believe all spellings are correct)

thanks,

shawn
