White_Falcon (2/7/2008) Drink water!!!! that will fix the break.I thought it was Motrin, when I was in, you'd go to the TMC and they'd hand you 800mg Motrin for everything.

All_American_Soldier (2/7/2008) Is their a way I can go SF and keep my MOS or stay in that AO?I would not be the one to normally say "nay." You my friend are unique case. You have failed the Basic Airborne Course. I am considered by man a excellent judge of character, I have made my living at it. So here it is; Special Forces and Special Operations are so not only because of the special mission they perform on behalf of the armed forces, but because of the men who do this job. They are the cream of the army crop, better than "best" at the top of the class in everything. So let you and I evaluate you: Are you in the top of the ASVAB percentile? Were you in the top percentile of your high school graduating class? Are you an exceptionally bright child able to learn quickly? Do you score in the top 5% of your SQT, are you an E-4 or above? Do you score in the top 5% of your PT scores every time? Are you prepared to make a 18 mile ruck march / run in 4 hours, 40 minutes roadside or under six hours cross county this afternoon with a 50 pound ruck? DO you currently do 12 mile road marches with your 50 pound ruck weekly? How are you under fire? Have you been in combat yet? Do you speak another language? Can you teach others your skill? Are you a liar, do you exaggerate facts or misrepresent yourself? Are you a whiner? Do you carry 100% of your weight 100% of the time? Are you the person your leadership looks to to lead others? Or do you skate by on the accomplishments of others and blame others for your failures? Soldier, I know people pretty darn well and I believe you have failed to pass the very first test; attention to detail. You have not read in depth the materials available to you from the Army: http://www.bragg.army.mil/specialforces/sf_training_overview.htm This information would have clearly pointed out to you that YOU are not prepared and do not meet the minimum requirement to be considered "special" in any way. So nay I say. It is good to admire these men, they are worthy, but you are not ready, because your do not have inside yet what it takes to manifest what comes out when the foot of the cadre presses to your neck. Don't believe everything you see on TV or hear from your wanna-be friends, Special Forces / Operations has a side filled with choices. A high divorce rate, a selfless sacrifice of giving ones self with no expectation of personal gain, a slow promotion in some cases, many sleepless nights far from home, difficult classes on stuff useless in the civilian world. And then there is the upside, friends for life who will never betray you and will be there through ex-wives, lost children, wars, jobs, tears, beers, and in the end, will fold the flag and give it to whomever survives you. Find that in your average army buddy?

From what I understand, SF does not take Club 41 members.
