| Their stand is now that they reject the war, but support the troops. That was NOT their stand back in the late 60's.
All the way, sir!!!

I talked to my Dad about this last night, and when I mentioned what the city council said about the Marines being the Presidents stormtroops and murdering, looting, evil people, his response was "Shit... they're on to us!" He thought it was humerous. Anybody hear about the trail of "Smokey" Johnson?
"Sir, Sir! Bounding overwatch does not mean taking a running leap into the SAW Gunner's field of fire!"

UNCLE!!!!!! Full story here: http://www.nbc11.com/news/15245031/detail.html?dl=headlineclick .........Code Pink announced they would have what they called a "24-hour peace-in" leading up to Tuesday's city council meeting. They will be camping out but will have a lot of company. A group of pro-troop protesters will also be there. "I was under the impression that we have the right of free speech," said Xanne Joi of Code Pink. "To me, I thought free speech meant you get to say what you want without recrimination." No you stupid twat, free speech means you can say what you want but then hope you don't get punched in the face for saying it to the wrong person.......... ..........Berkeley City Councilman Gordon Wozniak extended an olive branch to the Marines. He went to breakfast with a recruiter Thursday morning. "Berkeley is supposed to celebrate diversity and free speech and we welcome homeless people here. We welcome illegal immigrants. We give them sanctuary. We should welcome the Marines. I mean they're basically dedicating their lives to protect their country." BASICALLY??? You Douche! I hope you die a slow death from slow Africa AIDS........ Wozniak said he does not support the harsh language of the letter to the Marines originally authorized by the city. Ann Cooper with the Berkeley Unified School District wants both sides to play nice. "Senators sitting 3,000 miles away are trying to take food away from the children of Berkeley," said Cooper. "Why? Because the Marines and the city aren't playing nice -- and that's just not OK." ...........No you silly little oxygen theif, they are going to take money away from idiots that doesn't deserve to breathe the same oxygen as the youngest boot Marine nor the only surviving WWI vet. YOU feed your little liberal brats, without using MY taxdollars. Fund it with city dollars. And DC is only 2,809 mi away.......... As I said before, you suckle at the goverment teat but complain how the milk tastes.....

LOAD CLEAR! LOAD CLEAR! To avoid criticism do nothing, say nothing, be nothing. Elbert Hubbard

| What-a-go big Al! Need a petition. Unfortunately I'm limited on actions from this system, know what I mean. I had to chuckle that a "politician" is calling recruiters sales people who lie! 509trooper I like the JRTC comment, that's a-go with me! You know my knees are a No-Go but door gunner sound good! Ted and you other FOGs, yes it sounds like we guys have heard this before!

Berkley's position is rapidly decaying in the face of shutting off Fed funds. Money evidently speaks louder than principles.

"I was under the impression that we have the right of free speech," said Xanne Joi of Code Pink. "To me, I thought free speech meant you get to say what you want without recrimination." No, speech can have consequences. Free speech means that the government can't prosecute your selfish ass. But neither Berkley nor any other city has a right to receive Federal money and Congress can certainly shut that pipeline if they choose. BTW, what kind of name is Xanne Joi? The pressure is making some in Berkley rethink their position. Do not expect Congress to shut off their seat at the table. Not with madames Pelosi, Boxer and Feinstein there to protect their idiot constituents.

| I think you are correct. Code Pink and Berkley need to learn the difference between a right and a privilage, and lose their Federal funding, at least long enough for them to wish they had not done or said what they | | | |
