Hey, anything to bring some joy to the lives of my brothers and sisters.  Just call me the Pnet court jester.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Its official

The Christianson clan will be driving down to Atlanta for the Airborne Awards, the hotel is booked, plans underway.

The kids were off of school and the wife felt it was a good family drive. I will need some assistance from the locals on good things for the wife and kids to do on that Friday. I'll attend the luncheon and (if invited) the installation at the Vulcan chapter and leave the kids and wife to do some local stuff (zoo, history etc).

So. Here we go... I'm going to be in Atlanta!

Outstanding, Mark.  There is a Patriots Museum there in Atlanta and I am sure Dale can provide lots of ideas.  As I recall the hotel will have brochures for other local attractions.  And you never know what invitations may pop up once you get there.  See you in April.

No, I believe Jester position has already been filled with this military man.

The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true!

Good old movie reference. But Danny Kaye is no military type.

According to a series of memos released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation under the Freedom of Information Act, the FBI investigated a rumor that Kaye dodged the draft during World War II. Allegedly, Kaye faked a medical condition in order to gain 4-F status and exemption from military service. However, these accusations were never proven, and though the FBI maintained a file on Kaye's connections to supposed Communist groups, he was never prosecuted

In 1949 he was "The Inspector General" but he also was "Up in Arms" here:

Well, a bit of a change up on my plans but still ultimately the same result.

Turns out that wife and daughter have a conflict due to soccer (yes, my lovely bride is a soccer mom of the coaching degree) and that weekend is openning game. She really cant miss pictures and the first game without negatively impacting things so they're going to stay home.

I looked and the credit for last years travel that was cancelled is still good so my son and I are booked on a flight to Atlanta for the awards and we'll do a father/son trip.
