You sent Mark's HH6 either a bat or a bottle of hooch then eh?

UPDATE

I went to see the surgeon today for my first post op visit. Since I got home Saturday, I have been having trouble sleeping. The most that I have gotten at one time is four hours and this is with pain killers on board. The percocets are making my skin crawl, so I am taking benadryl for the itching.

When I finally got done filling out the reams of paperwork , I was ushered into an exam room.  The nurse asked me "what happened"? Once she figured out that I was "that guy" the doctor was talking about, she said that she had seen the xrays and that they were impressive. Of course, I have not had a chance to see them yet.

The doctor came in and removed the old dressing, cleaned up the sutures and put fresh dressings back on. While we were waiting for the nurse to bring more 4x4, I took the opportunity to flex my fingers and wrist. It felt weird, almost disconnected! The stump of the index finger is only to the middle of the proximal phalange and the middle finger is missing the distal phalange. Both the stump and middle finger are badly swollen and displaying all of the colors of the rainbow.

The stitches have to stay in for another week. Hopefully I will get a less bulky dressing next time. The doctor did say that after I am completely healed, I should a functional hand again.

I hope you have a speedy recovery. Can we do anything to help?

Damn bro, I'm sorry to hear of your pain, but I am grateful it wasn't worse and you are otherwise in good health and spirits. Drive on Airborne, HH6 and I will pray for your speedy recovery.

So,,,do ya got the finger in a jar of alcohol to scare all the neighborhood kids with??

Ummmmmmmmm, not to be contradictory,, but isn't that like putting Jesse James in charge of keeping Billy the Kid out of trouble???

Insist on the good stuff bro,,,no pathetic bended scotch will do for you,,,only a good singlemalt will help and your injury and attitude are worthy of the good stuff. If you play it right maybe you can swing a bottle of 31 yr old Glen Mhor (pronounced Glen Vawr)
