I suffered traumatic amputation of left index finger and the tip of the left middle finger. Cindy drove me to MMC, had emergency surgery, they were unable to re-attach the index finger.

I was able to go home Saturday afternoon with scripts for pain meds and antibiotics, I have to follow up with surgeon on Wednesday.

I have been able to sleep for a couple of hours at a time. Usually wake up because the pain meds wear off . Doctor said that I would be pretty miserable for a while. He was right.

Damn... Sorry to hear this Mark. I take it the left middle fingertip was able to be saved so that means you can still flip lthe bird with that hand while keeping your right one on the wheel (sorry attempt at humor but hell... you probably could use a grimace about now.) How did this happen anyway? Your last injury as I recall was a result of you attempting to bodily stop a fleeing suspect in a truck so hopefully this wasn't as dramatic.

Now that the fun's out of the way, what the heck happened!??

Just called Ert... he'll come on here and tell the story later Im sure but suffice to say his motorcycle bit him and now he is working to get certified to work as a shop teacher at the school for the safety briefing.

Sorry to hear about your injury. This is under trooper in need so I said a prayer for you. Whatever you did don't do it again.

The hippo is unpredictable and aggressive with old scars and fresh, deep wounds providing signs of daily fights that are accompanied by much bellowing, neighing and snorting.
