| Great site in a vast sea of military related sites. I'm a few days late reporting in, but the Navy never really follows doctrine, it's a great point of departure (Keeps Army and AF folks busy inside the Beltway). Was reeled in on some Navy forum topics which received comments from members, excellent to view perspective from navy outsiders. Amazingly non-acidic and very insightful. Respect y'all jumping out of aircraft.

| Welcome Sailor. Are you still serving? If so, thank you. If not, thank you. Are you one of those crab badge wearing EOD spooks? Details, Sailor, give us details.

| What did he say, huh - what did he say? Welcome to P.net. My Uncle served aboard the USS Nevada during WWII. He was on ship when it was hit by a Jap Kamakaze off Guadacanal or Iwo, never can remember which one.

Welcome aboard Navy, I just came from a year in GTMO myself so I'm pretty up on Navy speak

"...my religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me." He added, after a pause, looking me full in the face: "That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave" General "Stonewall" Jackson
