Just an old Animal Farm, Vicenza, and FT Chaffee 509th paratrooper signing in.  Whatever happened to the old 509th Assn website? I have only been back from the desert a few months now, but I can't find it anywhere on te web anymore!

Hope to see some old 509th buddies on here!  Yes, I am STILL in the military (army reserve), but have over 30 years in now, plus over 24 for retirement from reserves, so may just go into retired reserve until age 60.  Trying to get back to Kuwait in civilian mode for military support there, so I don't know how much longer I will be stateside this time around.

This last 2-1/2 years in Kuwait as a leg was much different than my previous active duty stints as a grunt on jump status, but now-a-days I have bad knees and can't jump anymore, so I performed personnel services duties instead.

Welcome to pnet B-O-B.

I was in 1st Bn 509th just before you, 70 - 72.

Checkout the 509th Association forum here on pnet and contact 509 Trooper here for info on the Association.

Welcome!

509Trooper is on here frequently and can definitely answer any questions you have about the 509th Association.
