saintvoodoo, Hinman that nonEnglish speaking SOB I remember him waddling around the Bn AO mumbling whatever he mumbled and people always asked he, " WTF did he say?"  My stock answer was, "beats the Helluva Out of me" or "How the fvck do I know he's Samoan."  I still remember correcting him on my E-5 board when he asked me a question; he didn't take too kindly to being corrected by some young punk E-4 from Charlie Company both he and CSM Finn gave me the lowest scores on that board while 1SGT Williams gave me the highest of that board.  Man Finn was such a prick; that man hated all of the lower enlisted men instead of being there for all of us, which is supposed to be the job of all CSM's well that man failed on his job and he did it well.

I'm Surprised Panama's still sea level, after all the Push Ups I did down there.

"Fury From The Sky"

When I first arrived at Kobbe they stuck me in HHC for a couple of weeks (nightmare to say the least). I remember the first formation I attended with Hinman and trying to control my laughter at the exchanges between him and the platoon sgts. He would say something along the lines of, "Croopy... dad sen doi got harmshod aroovin" and someone would answer, "Roger first sgt, I'll handle it." I guess they were used to his unintelligible ramblings. I have to say though that according to some of the guys I talked to after the war, he was one hard-charging muldoon! They told me he practically cleared the houses on the Amador causeway himself and the younger troops basically just stayed out of the way. As far as SGM Finn, I have no recollection of him at all; which to me means he must have been quite absent and uninvolved with the troops. 1SG Williams was amazing! He and a SGM from Guyana pinned on my sgt stripes while we were out training at Empire Range. What an honor! Of course, CPT Davis was a little bugged that he didn't get to participate and told me so infront of the company. Oh well... can't please everyone.

saintvoodoo, nightmares ... you want nightmares try having SSG Henderson in your PLT that man was a one man wrecking crew; who almost killed me on a nightjump over Venado one night when he entangled with me.  That man couldn't shoot, land nav, speak, lead men, told us that one day to take our blank adapters off our weapons and still run through a mock building remember that exercise at Rodman?  We didn't fire them of course, and he got himself reamed by 3 PLT's SGT who was running the range which was F'ing Great.

I believe that was SFC Jackson that reamed him. I can't recall his name for sure; he was replaced by SFC Smith who, well... mom said if you can't say anything nice...
