Dick, first let me welcome you to the site.  My comment about the 508th being a "dead man's association" refers strictly to the fact that membership in the old association was available only to those who served in the unit during WWII.  But in reading back over my comments I should have recognized that the association had evolved to the point it is now.  There was no intent to disparage the organization in any way.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
