| JR and I wanted to let everyone know that we will be returning to CONUS shortly. Yesterday I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. It is an early stage, and I'm being medevac'd to Walter Reed. JR is coming with me on emergency leave, with the intent of staying. I don't know how long we'll be at the hospital, it'll depend on what treatment I need. Since I'm so close to my tour being up anyway, I'm treating this as my PCS departure. I'm feeling very confident that I'll get through this and be totally good to go. The med guys here have been great in getting me prepared to leave, and I have doctors on the other end ready when I arrive. We appreciate everyone's good thoughts and prayers our way, and I'm so grateful I'll have JR there with me. We'll post an update after we hear some news. Thanks so much. Lastly, my PSA: for all you women or you guys who have women in your lives, please tell them to get a pap smear if they have not had one in the last year. A week and a half ago I had no idea I had cancer, but with a routine pap and a doctor who was paying attention, I found out.

Oh Michele. I am thinking about you. I get mine routinely and I am so glad they were able to catch yours. Please take care of yourself and DO NOT hesitate to ask me for anything. hubby will be in your AO (Walter Reed) soon so I can always send stuff with him.

Michele, prayers for both of you. I'm glad they caught this early and I too am confident that it'll work out OK, I'm glad the JR will be there to be with you. Anything you need let us know

| With this group of troopers praying for you, I dont know that Sky-6 would risk the trouble. Janis and I will add you to our prayers and it should go without saying that if there is anything you need that is within our power to make happen, just call and consider it done. Stay strong, my sister in law had the same and as you have... she caught it early and she's good to go.
