Yeppers Al. I talked with a 507th NCO who helped investigate the fatality 2 years ago and was on hand for this incident and he agreed they were virtually identical ecxcept Joe pulled his reserve and being an Engineer he had a harder head! The C-130 crew were alot of fun and unlike some C-17 personnel I know didn't mind socializing with us mere mortals, lol, we heartily missed ya Al! I really wish Mark and Al could have attended as it is my contention that our AiRBORNE Awards is much more fun than the standard 82nd Convention...but I'm partial to the organizers, lol. For the record I did set my alarm clock but who knew that the dang thing would flash but not sound when it went off...next time I just get the standard wake up call! Narz drove his car like he "stole it!" The GPS was fun and I'm glad I bought mine last month...now to catch up with Dave!

| Narz drove his car like he "stole it!" I just have a couple of questions; Were we late getting to Fort Benning? Did we get pulled over going to or coming back from Benning? Since the answer to both of these questions was no, you must be pissed about the lack of an inflight movie or beverage service during the trip. What did you think you were in, a C17??

Ertman (4/17/2007) Narz drove his car like he "stole it!" I just have a couple of questions; Were we late getting to Fort Benning? Did we get pulled over going to or coming back from Benning? Like you couldnt get out of any speeding ticket you might have encountered... you had enough local badges in the car that it would have been a quick flip and have a nice day. Hey.. speaking of C17... anyone seen the AF recruiting commercial where they have an AF loadmaster doing his thing? Lots of airdrop/paratrooper stuff in it got my attention and it was funny how much it looked like the video that Big Al did from AA week... I guess Al's mug was too rough for TV and they selected someone else.

| Well, since Mark was was ahem......."hurt"........It really came down to $$$$$$$$. One, did I want to eat roughly $500.00 to drink beer with my brothers, or two, did I wanna go play with HH6?? Well it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure that one out!!!! Only one plane for the week. I've done that before, but it is a lot of work. Figure 102 on my jet, 300 students equals three lifts. Very doable. Know figure 64 on the Four fan trash can, times 300 students plus safties and JMs. At least six lifts. Yep them boys earned their beer.

| FOUR FANS OF FREEDOM!! At the speeds that we running, I don't think that we would have been extended any professional courtesy. We did get checked by a trooper at warp speed on I-185N, but his chase car was out of position. When we got to I-85, two troopers fell behind us but did not put us on the shoulder. I don't think that they got a good enough description from the trooper that clocked us (small black car at a high rate of speed). There were four or five small cars in the pack that we in.

Shit.... Glad "Joe" was able to live through his qualifying jump. Hope he does not let it get to him, and has learned the importance of a good strong exit. Had a similar incident jumping from a 141, but the bird was going too fast causing many to do backflips. I lucked out and untangled my feet pretty quick, and got all the twists out just in time to drop my ruck and slam down on top of it.I am going to have to go next year... did not think I would have been able to afford it this year, and of course at the last minute I had the "extra" dough. Flight was too damned expensive though at the last minute.
