Company D, 3rd Battalion, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, displays the 400 tank rounds that were a part of a large cache they found south of Baghdad, near Al Iskandariyah while on patrol March 18. Good stuff, thanks for shareing.  That's 400 fewer IEDs and while it won't stop them by any means, it will make their task more difficult

I think those are rockets, not tank rounds.  Maybe 122mm rockets?  Tank rounds usually have fins inside the shell casing, IIRC.

They are 115mm rounds like a T62 would use... missing their sabots. Too be honest, they appear to be already fired inert training rounds. Look at how many have mushroomed and deformed noses...

They may be inert, but they have not been fired.  There is never that much left.  I say this based on experience with US training ammo and innert mortar rounds.
