Well I don't know nothing about the big city or the way they do it up Nawth, but I do know that down here in the sticks that once you start to drink you do not have arrest powers nor are you entitled to carry a gun (as your judgement is impaired). In other words if ya wanna get hammered you give up the right to "act" under color of law and if ya rate a beat down then so be it! I have actually seen video of two groups of off duty officers bumping heads at a bar not knowing that the other group was also off duty officers until someone's bullet launcher falls to the floor..can you say "ooops". Cops in both parties were disciplined and some were fired (good on'em) for their inappropriate behavior. I personally do not carry anywhere when I'm gonna be with others drinking.
