| Received the below email from this trooper. Looking at his web page , some dates don't add up. Tell me what you think. Hello 82nd Veterans,
I am Thomas J. Carter, retired Captain and former 82nd Airborne Division
Pathfinder Platoon Leader and 82nd Finance Company Soldier.
I was working for Siemens Business Services and one day I was called into
the conference room and was told that a co-worker said I was going to kill
someone. Well, you can image my shock and surprise. I was fired and criminal
charges were filed against me.
I have since learned that the co-worker WOKE UP @3AM and realized this. She
went on to say that I was going to assemble my BLAH BLAH troops and kill
him. She had to interpret her dream and came up with a name.
If that is not bad enough, in the termination letter, they state, TOM HAS A
MILITARY BACKGROUND PERCEIVED TO BE WITH THE TYPE OF UNIT THAT WAS INVOLVED
IN KILLING".
I was with the 82nd during the Vietnam War (1973) and was with different
Special Forces Groups since.
I am concerned that the Soldiers returning from Iraq are going to face the
same type of Anti Military attitude as I have faced.
The Siemens Compliance line is 800-303-5999. I have been told not to call
any more! What ever happened to a Free Country!
The United States Department of Labor and the Illinois Department of Human
Rights are investigation this case.
If you would like to call the Compliance line and let them know it is not a
nice thing to fire a Soldier! XVIII Airborne Corp and Fort Bragg EEOC called
me and they know about this. Special Forces Command knows about this too.
AUSA and ROA know about this. Special Forces Association Chapter 37 also
know about this.

I have seen this somewhere before. I think it has been around the circuit for some time?? Not sure, CRFS disease.

My problem is he states he served with the 82nd in Vietnam but his web page Resume shows a date of Army service from 1991 ? 1993 - 1996

| Not sure about the firing of a soldier. I fire people based on what they have done wrong, not who they are. Only Soldiers protected under the Uniform Services Act are protected. I know Siemens well. Not sure if they would fire someone without a complete investigation into the matter. It is all about CYA nowadays. I agree, that email does not make sense or add up.

He shows 91-96 in the Army and he has been a consultant, not a full time employee. Big difference in laws and practices.

Besides the military question, companies do not fire an individual because someone else has a dream. If they did, they would be tied up in court.
