Tmanson hit the nail on the head with his comment... those uniforms resemble certain National Socialist ones too closely in cut and design for my taste. Then again, lots of WW2 vets bitched about the k-pot's shape also.
"The degenerative and loony should never be denigrated but, rather, thanked. In their absence, the rest of you would be obliged to fill congressional seats... positions naturally unsavory to the sane and honorable." Thorax

| The tool on the right is Uncle Bob Allardice aka "The Iceman" of Dice Ops fame. During the HUMRO back in 2001. He got his DFC while ahem...... "leading" .......the first four ship C-17 combat airdrop. Funny thing was, he was on my airplane standing between my pilots LTC Pat "C" and LTC Keith "G", who were actually doing the "leading". All the rest of us crewdogs on the jet got an Air Medal. He's a politician in military uniform. Got his star on the back of the Active and reserve airdrop crews, then promptly left for the five sided puzzle palace to help in the design of that crappy uniform. Funny thing is they want to incorporate the old "Hap Arnold" designs into the uniform.......Hap was in the Army ya dolts!!!!

So, how many more thousands of airmen will have their jobs cut to pay for this BS?

tmanson (3/14/2007) Jaaa mein Fuhrer, zee new dress uniform prototypes are being tested.
This post made me crack up! It reminded me of this e-mail joke my brother sent me years ago when he was stationed in Turkey at the listening post. So I hunted it down and posted this new thread here: http://www.paratrooper.net/commo/Topic233137-41-1.aspx

2/505S&T (3/15/2007) So, how many more thousands of airmen will have their jobs cut to pay for this BS?40,000 - Haven't you been following this issue? They have this BS ad on AFN where the USAFE Command Chief Master Sergeant says: "To streamline our operations and modernize our fleet, the Air Force is cutting 40,000 positions" Then he goes on to talk about how the junior NCOs in the USAF are now doing what the seniors have been doing for quite some time. Excellent! More work with less pay - That's what EVERY Service member wants, right? I'll tell you - The USAF is the most economical service for the DOD, because they don't promote their guys. The average to make E6 on Active Duty when I left the USAF in 1992 was 13 years TIS. Idiots... Ah, hell - I guess it's easy to see that I am to the USAF like a reformed smoker is to smokers. INTOLERANT!!!
