| Been reading the website and it makes sense to counter demonstrate, how come we havent heard anything about this in the primary news agencies? Unfortunately I can only support in spirit.. Im coming home from a biz trip and have a prior engagement on Saturday which requires my attendance. Im betting that this group doesnt actually DO anything, but rather just creates enough of a stir to get some press with this.

We will not be in the Vietnam Memorial. From this area, we will march over the Arlington Memorial Bridge to Virginia on the way to the Pentagon. The 58,000 U.S. soldiers who lost their lives in Vietnam and the millions of Vietnamese who were killed, died in a criminal war. The connection between Vietnam and Iraq could not be more clear. Iraq is also a criminal war of aggression. The central issue today, just as it was in 1967, is to bring the war to an end. Thousands of veterans and military families, including those who have lost loved ones in Iraq, will be in the front ranks of the March on the Pentagon. Some tiny pro-Bush groups who support the war in Iraq, and who normally mobilize about 25 people to hold signs when massive antiwar protests take place, are now callously trying to manipulate Vietnam veterans by spreading rumors that the March on the Pentagon will defile the Vietnam Memorial. This lie should be treated with the same contempt that people have for the other lies promoted by Bush and his followers to justify an illegal war of aggression: Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction; Iraq was responsible for the September 11 attacks; and that the U.S. occupation would be greeted as an act of liberation by the Iraqi people. Enough lies. Enough deceit! I wonder how many newly freed Iraqi's are going to be attending the march supporting them? How many of those freed of Saddam's terrorism and tyrany would like it better if he was left in power? If no country should step in and help bear the burden to free an terroized people and promote freedom then how I wonder do these people explain the allies that committed money and personnel to a group in a country that was controlled by a tyrant taking away liberties and freedom. These countries helped a country become more than a colony of an empire and the world has benefitted far more than it has lost since our inception.

Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction; Iraq was responsible for the September 11 attacks; and that the U.S. occupation would be greeted as an act of liberation by the Iraqi people. First, if Bush lied about WMD so did Clinton and most of the major Dems in Congress. Second, the Administration never said Saddam was responsible for 9/11. They have said it was part of the war on terror, and most people link that to the 9/11 attacks only. What they fail to understand(or choose not to, as the case may be) is that the GWOT is more than about exacting revenge on AQ. Third, in most of Iraq our troops were initially greeted as liberators. Not only in the Kurdish north and Shiite south, but anyone remember the massive crowds cheering as Marines pulled down Saddam's statue in Baghdad. What a bunch of tools.

| Ok folks here is an IDEA lots of us have commitments that wont allow us to go to DC that weekend. Here is an Idea those fuckstains are using chartered buses if we can find the grid for those dumbshits rally point. Then show up to let them know what kind of scum they are.
