| My brother is one of those guys who takes being a LEO to the next step in pride, never let things bother him like nick names for police officers. Pig, Copper, flatfoot .... On his desk you will see assorted Harley Davidson pigs, coffee mugs with pig ear handles, a "pigskin" football with a badge, you ge the idea. His all time favorite office wear is a tie with flying pigs on it, because of the saying "When pigs fly." I gave this tie to him the day I arranged for him to take a back seat in an F-14 flight over Lake Michigan for his birthday. He now can say pigs fly. ANyway, this is the Chinese year of the Pig. You have all heard, Pride, Integrity and Guts. Well Here is a London Times story you might find interesting: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/china/article1390527.ece Some highlights form the article I found inspiring: The year 2007 is especially auspicious. This is the Year of the Fire Pig, with the element of fire giving the already auspicious Pig year a greater dynamism. Because of the fire element’s colour, which is associated with gold, it is also called the Year of the Golden Pig. It comes around only once every 60 years and is considered one of the luckiest in the entire Chinese zodiac. One prominent feature of the Pig year is that it favours family values and the home. Over the year, much emphasis will be placed on the quality of the home life and on leading a more balanced lifestyle.
