Just hooking up here. I was in the 501st when it was part of the 82nd. Does anyone know if I can join the 101st's 501st Association?

Normally the regimental associations only require that you were in one of the units of the regiment, not that you were with the regiment when it was with a certain division.  For instance, the 504th Association only requires that you were assigned to the 504th at any point in time.  It doesn't matter whether you were with the '04 in the 82nd or the 8th ID, although you do also have to be a member of the 82nd Association since they are actually a Chapter of the 82nd.  I am not sure we have any members of the 501st Association here, but I would suggest contacting them directly.
