There is a new website about the 509th.  The site has been put up by a member of the US Army Reserve and nephew of WWII 509 veteran Jack Berger. He is also part of the Airborne Demonstration Team.  He is still working on the site, but it's a pretty good start.

Actually it was a PIB and saw combat before that unit with the AA.

Not a bad kickoff, looking forward to checkin in on a work in progress...my dad was a 508ther at Ft. Kobbe, CZ in the early sixties during the build-up in NAM, and I've run across a few of the group sites that post good stuff on their past and present history, yearbooks and photos.  This 509th PIB site has potential.  Thanks for the clue!
