No, he wasn't joking. He was, however, being very polite.

The only way to learn is to listen, read, ask questions when appropriate. There's always a time to joke, have fun, be the subject of everyone's jokes, but for one in your position- that of a student- the best advice you can be given is to listen to these men as MUCH as possible. They have a repertoire of knowledge spanning 45+ years, almost every combat operation since that Trojan horse incident (if you count RJ), and more stories of triumph and will than you'll ever see the likes of again.

Read, read, read, listen, listen, listen, young friend. You'll go far.

I'm Surprised Panama's still sea level, after all the Push Ups I did down there.

Well Williams_cap. If you weren't a stupid HS kid, you would know that CAP is capitalized. Secondly, get rid of the Jump Wings in your avatar. You are not qualified to, nor have you earned the right to, display them. You don't have what it takes to make a pimple on a Paratrooper's ass. Grow up Sonny Boy and mind your manners. Better yet, go away, we don't need smart ass kids that need their bottoms spanked.

What exactly did this kid do to piss you guys off?

Remember we're in the "new millenium" and proper, good manners were DX'd by youth in general.

Let's not re-enforce the notion of young people that all of us adults are just closed minded and constantly irritated to the point that we won't work with inexperience...........

Welcome! Sit back and listen for awhile.  Learning is everything, silence is golden

I'm not pissed off, just irritated as these punkass kids who come in here and think they can immediately start spouting off. The last time I looked this was still Parartooper.net. That means something to me. You, me, and those who are not Paratroopers but family members, or other Service Vets, etc., have earned the right to be who we are and say what we think. These wannabe or neverwillbe kids haven't earned didley shit. If they want to come here to listen, learn, or just be around experienced Vets, great. The fact that William is a CAP Cadet is great, more power to him, but that does not mean he is automatically respected here. That he has to earn.  This new millennium & PC bullshit can take a flying f**k in a rolling donut.

Okay youngster, take a knee, and keep your cake hole shut. I say that in a nice way because your young and impressionable. You can learn a lot from folks here, if you don't piss us off.

We have folks here who served as Privates all the way up to a former Assistant Secretary of Defense so we know what we are talking about.

LISTEN AND LEARN.......

BTW you can fetch me a Bass Ale from the fridge, just don't drink from it!!!
