redleg155 (8/20/2006) Why do you think living up to human potential is independent of a higher purpose. They are interwoven and you cannot have one without the other. I didn't mean to say that they are not interwoven, of course they shuld be interwoven. My whole point is that living up to our human potential is not the highest. For many, living up to human potential is the highest goal, independent of a higher purpose - that's exactly the point. The higher purpose I speak of is God's higher purpose - it it merely greater abundance in this life? I think not.

I can absolutely agree with that. I don't believe we as human beings will be able to fully achieve our pinnacle without Him, be it this life or after.
