For all of you Troopers who served in the 509th at any post Mark has opened up an area for the Association.  Look for me to post any official notices to or about the Association in this area.  Anyone else that has any news or info on the 509th should also post it here.

Outstanding, and they are mild also!

"American Parachutists...devils in baggy pants...are less than 100 meters from my outpost line. I can't sleep at night; they pop up from nowhere and we never know when or how they will strike next. Seems like the black-hearted devils are everywhere..."

I would like to hear from anyone from the 1/509 (hopefully B Co.) during the 1970-72 time frame. Pictures of Lee Barracks, mountains, etc. would be great. I have some to share as soon as I figure out how to post them.

Hi Rick,

Glad to see you got on the "manifest". I was in the 1st BN same time as you, started out in HHC Supply Room, went to Charlie Company Arms Room. Made E-5 and went back to HHC Support Platoon as the BN Ammo NCO. Met some guys from RECON Platoon at the past 06 reunion in Dayton. Great to see some of the "Animal Farmers", I'll try to get a picture up soon.

2007 Reunion at Reno in July, hope you can make it!
