Just recieved and email from the Governer of Arkansas.  "I cannot support this new Army program as it would greatly reduce that population of my great state"  Actually having people make intelligent decisions about who they are going to marry.   That would reduce the residents by almost half.  I think it's called live and learn.

Pickin' a spousal unit. Oh, boy what's next. For the Ladies, who

seem to love somebody socially and chromosomally challenged

enough to like jumpin' out of perfectly safe aircraft. What pray

tell do y'all like about us? Is their a cross section of traits? Do

ya'll have a cross section of traits, that allow ya'll to accept us?

Particular socio-economic background? Birth order? Ya'll act

real happy to be HH6/Girl. Some inquirin' minds want to know

'cause we are all for havin' a woman we can count on,but

have been able to count on,no one but our "brothers".

I was one of those that got divorced after OIF.  She still thinks freedom is free.  Go figure.

Hello Ranger, we have something in common freedom is free,

in B.Co DayRoom by the pool table used to be a mural/saying

about how better men protect people unwillin' or unable to

protect themselves. I have a Ranger here in Ft.Livin' Rm. who

got rewarded for his loyalty and bravery, with a divorce. How

lovely.I imagine Honor,Loyalty,Character, all those things that

are supposed to be higher aspirations are unimportant to

some women. That is why I am addressing happy girlfriends/

spousal units/HH6, with my question(s) I would imagine to

start the good ones know that if you are there for me,then

dang sure you'll be there for them. But who knows.Ya'll

Ladies can interject/speak/comment at any time.I still need

a clue even a rented one.

My wife is as HOOAH as I am,,,, she might SCARE the Army!!

Since we reserved a military chapel for the ceremony we had to have a chaplain give us "Pre-Marital Counceling" so we knew how serious a situation we were getting into,,,pure formality & parrework. Well that took about 5 minutes as we are both adult enough to have lived lots of life until now, but as we finished the chaplain told us " you know this is just a formality to help so many 18 year olds from making a big mistake, we get a lot of young people wanting to get married before a deployment". Well, after the shock of no longer being classified as one of those in the "Young" category wore off I could see the logic in it,, I know I saw a lot of guys who married the first hot Italian senorita who gave him the time of day but didnt stay married for long. I say why the hell not give the program a chance,,,,,, as long as they dont try making a "Reality" TV Show out of it., I can see it now,,,,
"Who wants to marry PFC Smith, who is deploying on 3 weeks"...

Diplomacy, subtlety and regard for someones feelings don't seem to blend well with the "Spirit of the Bayonet"!

I can't speak for anyone but myself. I adore paratroopers but if you don't start typing normally, you're OUT of the running.
