You have valid points and I understand your reasoning and frustration with fellow soldiers.  I had a Troop in Nam who was only 5'6" tall and weighed approx 130#. this guy never went to MACV Recondo School - came over from 4th ID and was a "leg".

But I will tell you this - there was not a better LRP to be found anywhere.  Your demeanor and track record speak louder than anyone calling you names.  Get your packet - get to BAC - get the right mind-set.  You are what you believe you are,

Excellent quote from Cool-Hand Luke!  EVen used correctly!!  That is, BTW, why Luke got shot at the end...he misquoted the Cpt!  Luke's misquote made it an article by adding "a" as in:  "What we have here is "A" failure to communicate....BANG!!!"

How about the gal washing the car?  You can't pull chicks like that without wings on your chest!  So get going, Sarn't!!!

Do you listen to yourself when you talk; or do you just fade in and out?

I will be gone for the next three weeks on yet another Old Guard excursion. Hopefully, I can get a physical scheduled once I return. I will continue to keep you all posted.

Did you do the ceremony a few months back where some 2 star from friggin latvia or moldavia placed a wreath
on the Tomb? If so, I was the tall guy...
There was a SSG with a 325 regimental crest. I could never get over to him to say "sup?" and offer him a beer or twelve.
I will look you up next time I am in DC...maybe we can hit 5 guys burgers...

Not to chance the subject, but when I was at Campbell 1-502 was the best the Screaming Eagles had.Our CSM was the heavyweight boxing camp and a 1 of 12 to get thru Hamberger hill my Plt Sgt spent two tours in man with the 101st and about 75% of our Nco's were airborne and had servered in a airborne unit.I HAVE TO SAY IT WAS THE BEST UNIT I EVER SERVERED IN

For me, that unit was the 3/325 in Vicenza, Italy.  I don't know about a boxing champ, but 1st Sergeant Lane was known to knock out a few butter-bars now and then...

Our CSM made a halo jump in Vietnam, and wound up landing on a bunker.  An NCO came outside to see what the ruckas was about, saw him dressed to kill and had a heart attack!
