| The last Westex here in SoCal was pretty successful and most of us live relatively close to one another (or, at least to a mutual point in the middle), so I'm thinking we should have a regular mini-gathering one evening per month. Nothing too fancy, just good chow, good beer and good company. There are enough of us from PNET and USP to make it a going concern. Obviously, there will be some who can't always make it- no problem, whoever comes, comes: same time, same day every month (to make it easier to plan for future dinners). I also think it should be the same place (which is especially helpful for out-of-towners who happen to be in the AO)- somewhere in the middle of most of us. In the past, we've met at the Irvine Spectrum (may be the best choice logistically) and the Road House Grill in Long Beach. Other ideas are appreciated.

Alright, I'll start- I suggest the second Saturday of every month, 6pm at the Irvine Spectrum. Parapete's also good with that loc. If a weekday is better, than the 2nd Wednesday.

Ok, sifted through all your PM's and those from USP and we got a winner: we'll meet and greet every 3rd Saturday of the month at 6pm at Dave & Busters in the Ontario Mills Mall in, you guessed it, Ontario (which is centrally located to just about everyone). It's right off the 10 freeway at the 15 (about 40 miles east of downtown LA). They've got good food, a great bar for you drinkers, babelicious babes and pool tables. See you all in about two weeks (Saturday, Oct 15th).

Just a reminder folks- we'll be assembling in the bar. Keep an eye out for Pete in his 82nd cap & Treerat will have an 82nd pin- you can't miss them.

Before anyone fires in an excuse why you cant or why you're NOT in the association Id like to remind you that I have all the same committments plus Im running for Chairman here in Chicago so craft your excuses wisely.

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I was never in the 82nd Airborne (I know, I know, I have all of your condolences, very funny). Also, we have a couple of civvies joining us. Edit: Also, we have 13Fox101 who was 101 (I don't remember if he was in the 82nd at one time) and may have a couple of Marines too. Don't know if all of them (and me) can come to a 82nd Assoc. meeting.

I was never in the 82nd and I am the Chairman of my Chapter. Having earned your wings and $15.00 a year is the only thing required to join the Association. Most Chapters won't mind visitors, although they can't vote or participate in Chapter business. So no more excuses.
