Code of Conduct

This forum is the place for discussion based upon the airborne/paratrooper community, experience and related interests.

All users under the age of 13 must seek permission from their parent or guardian in order to gain membership. There is no minimum age to join in, however if you are unable to converse in an adult manner the account will be deactivated.

The Moderators and Administrators have the final say in all matters; no reason for deletion of posts or accounts should be assumed, but every attempt to fix situations prior to such action will be made where appropriate.

As well as text-based discussion, contributors are welcome to post their own photos or any photos that they have the legal right to post. Please bear in mind that many members are on dial up connections and to reduce file sizes to the smallest possible size.

While we identify that swearing is a common occurance in our community, we ask that it be kept to a reasonable level, extreme usage will result in a warning. Abuse, disrespect and/or racism will result in immediate banning from all forums.

Blatant advertising of products and services is unacceptable, if you wish to advertise please contact the owner of this site and get permission. Spam or product promotion without such permission is subject to deletion and your account being disabled. Remember that someone else worked hard to bring this place into being, using thier hard work to promote your own agenda is not tollerated.

Signatures are permitted however they should be kept short and use a minimum of graphical content. Any signatures that are deemed unsuitable may be edited/removed by an Administrator. Your signature should be fast loading so that it doesnt adversely effect reading of the content (the most important part). Additional details should be placed in your profile and you can then link to your profile in your signature.

A contributor may put a link to his/her personal website in their signature; posting constant advertising of personal sites may result in the topics being removed.

Prior to posting new topic the search facility should be used to ensure that the subject has not been covered before. Repeating content is bad forum practice.

Use common sense when bringing topics back from a time older than 6 months, it tends to confuse members when they have to rehash something that happened months ago to understand your post.

Any new member that starts to post unnecessary threads/posts will be dealt with, please carefully consider posting GENERAL news items unless they have a clear relevance to our community that is worth discussion. Plenty of sites for new exist so lets not just cut and paste articles for the sake of our post count/content.

Please post in comprehensible English, commonly used abbreviations are acceptable however refrain from using ‘mobile’ text as not everyone understands it. We take great pride in being educated and appreciate proper usage of the language.

Please ensure that any material posted with the copyright must be owned by the contributor.
