I tried this before and thought maybe I could ask you again for any support?

Thanks!

I have been trying to get together some care packages for our wounded at Walter Reed. My thought was to get pack the packages tight with a multiple of items and then have someone in the area deliver the items to whomever they met. Anyone willing to help me out with this and be the delivery person? I would collect the money, shop, pack and mail. All I need are a few good elves out there.

Mazzy- I was browsing through this site and saw your post, so I registered. I'm a former partrooper and current government employee living in the DC area. I would love to help you out with the deliveries. Do you have along list of specific recipients or is it just a random distribution to those in need?

The only glitch is I am overseas right now and won't  be back in DC for about a month. If that still works for you, I'm glad to help. If not, I wish you the best.

Post here or drop me an email.

First carepackages were mailed out to my elves yesterday.  If anyone here knows of something these soldiers might want, please let me know.  I am headed tothe base this weekend to stock up on goodies.

I'm in contact regularly with a few from WRMC and a lot of them are asking for books on disc and tape, if you can find those.

The Base BX has alot of those.  Thanks for the tip.  I got manly magazines and puzzle books to help pass the time away.  Plus, lots of junk food!
