Okay...been through hell and back, but I am here!  Y'all miss me?

Won't bore you with the details, but it has been rough!  And I am still struggling at times.  As most of you may remember, I have a child with special needs...

But I must say I have missed all of you very much and you have never been far from my minds!  As the 60th Anniversary of Operation Varsity is being remembered around the world, I have to take a moment to remember my Uncle Harry (17th AB)....

He did not get to participate because he had been so severely wounded during the Battle of the Bulge, he was lying in a London hospital bed as the Operation took place....but, as all of you know very well...his heart was with his buddies.

That is sort of how I have felt these last couple of years...haven't been able to be on the lines with y'all...but my heart has been with you!

Anyway...nuff mushiness!  Catch me up!  I want to know what has happened to all of you!

Jmpmster,

Congrats to you and the misses!

I just saw on the news today that they had pushed the age limit on the Guard up to 39...and wouldn't you know...I MISSED IT AGAIN!!!    This time, I would have enlisted.  I almost did right after my son was born, but he got sick.  Yeah, I know...I would've been a stinkin' leg!

Not to worry anyway...I am too old now.  Just had the big 40 in January!

Funny, I don't really remember being that old and I sure as hell don't feel like it!  heehee
